A lifelong interest in how children learn, and a belief that every child deserves to be seen.
Before founding Merrymoon, our owner spent four years studying child psychology and early childhood development in Germany, then worked as a kindergarten teacher for nine years. After moving to the United States, she earned an additional college certificate in early childhood development.
As a mother herself, she brings both professional experience and a parent’s perspective to the day. Her approach is to introduce children to new interests, notice what excites them, and help those interests grow—with patience, encouragement, and room for individuality.
